The present compensation & benefits models focused majorly on the management hierarchy, experience / skills, and ctc focused. With a change in the ecosystems (global standards, competencies, usage of technology, and scientific orientation) as well as a change in the workforce profile (multiple generations, more awareness about everything, and dreamers), a necessity for a needs driven c&b model arose
with a focus on the workforce groups and workforce generations.

The New Age Maslow Model – The Strategist Approach

The New Age Maslow works on the rational that each of the Five Needs are required consistently but in different degrees based on the background of the respondent

Principles:

• All Five Needs are needs all the time but their importance vary
• Degree of importance varies on multiple factors ranging from the economic & social background to aspirations to maturity etc
• Degree of importance can change from time to time and an average cycle for this change can be considered 24 months or so
• Ideally each respondent has a unique Pie but for ease of administration the organisation can consolidate the same into 4 ~ 5 buckets based on the overall demographic profile and aspiration study

The New Age Maslow Employee Engagement works on the philosophy of C + D = E (Connect +  Delight = Engagement)

Connect simply stated is the high level of commitment of the employees towards the organisation, they see themselves associated with the organisation for a long time to come.

Delight states the mood of the employees, whether they are happy or not with the organisation, whether they like to come to office day in day out and enjoy their stay with the organisation

Engaged employees are happy souls who like to continue working with their organisation.
