  8. Self-Aware<\/li>\n
  9. Empathy over Equity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    In the Present (Now & Here) – <\/strong>(Not blaming the past)<\/em><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    In the Ayodhya Kand where Prince Ram was exiled for 14 years or in the Aranya Kand where he lost his beloved Sita, Lord Ram is seen accepting the situation by focusing on the \u2018Now & Here\u2019 and not playing a victim by blaming the past or holding grudge against someone for their actions etc. Opposite to that belief, Lord Ram is often seen acting upon these situations to further his cause and displaying an optimism for future rather than blaming \/ living in the past.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Regret, remorse or playing the victim card was never displayed by Lord Ram\u2019s actions or words or even thoughts. Lord Ram often took the situation at hand in the right spirit as it unraveled. The guiding philosophy here is to believe that the situation that I am in today is because of \u2018Karma\u2019. Hence, I must focus on the present (Now & Here) and do the most meaningful and righteous action to ensure that I correct the course of my future karma.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    As Leaders we often inherit legacies from our predecessor(s). Many a times we get into this vicious cycle to find why we are the unfortunate ones to land in these messes or get busy analyzing \/paralyzing to ensure that the blame is stuck with our predecessor and does not get pinned on to us.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    In this process, we miss the point that a bad past is a good opportunity for us to display our full potential. Being present in current situations or times helps us channelize our energy to solve the problems and pave the path for a future of our conscious choice. Our ability to move away from being \u2018victims of past\u2019 is the secret to being \u2018Future Ready\u2019.<\/p>\n
